Chosen Brief: Design and create a gaming coffee table for university students living in student accommodation. The finished product must be modern, stylish and complement its surroundings - this can be accomplished by using high quality materials and components with a superior finish to make it look both modern and contemporary.
The final product consists of a laminated plywood structure which supports the housed monitor. The housed monitor has the ability to rotate 90 degrees due having a large industrial bearing attached to it, it has then been set onto a welded steel structure. Double roller catches fixed the monitor into perfect right angles.
There are 5 retro games available on the product which are controlled using a built in joystick. Another feature on the product is the use of the wireless speaker which is housed on the plywood base.
